The Sanctuary Pledge
The Sanctuary Pledge builds on the work of the Independent Asylum Commission and commits those who are asking for our vote to do five things
- Campaign responsibly, positively and sensitively in the 2010 election.
- Use 'sanctuary' instead of 'asylum' when communicating with the public.
- Support policies that will end the detention of children and families for immigration reasons.
- Promote tolerance and neighbourliness between local communities.
- Safeguard the long-term future of sanctuary.
There will be a training session for those who wish to take delegations to meet with prospective parliamentary candidates

SuperGay Middlesbrough
SuperGay is a celebration in Middlesbrough for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community; their friends, families and allies. This year events include theatre, cabaret, comedy, drag and a fantastic line up of music and entertainment.
